You can delete your Ironbark account from inside the app, or from this page. Either way, your data goes.

From the app

1. Open Ironbark.
2. Open Settings, then under Your Data choose Delete my account.
3. Confirm ownership using the sign-in method shown: password, Apple, Google, or a phone verification code.

That's the whole flow. No retention dark patterns, no "are you sure" loops.

Request deletion via email

You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@getironbark.app from the address on your account — no app required. We'll confirm with a one-time deletion link sent to that address and process the request within 5 business days.

Same path applies if you've lost access to the app or your password and can't get a reset email through.

Delete individual items

You can delete identity-log entries and your own community posts from their in-app menus without closing your account. For help with a particular item or a phone-only account, contact hello@getironbark.app. We will verify account ownership before taking action; never email us your password or verification code.

What gets deleted

Immediately, when you confirm:

• Your email, username, date of birth, and any social sign-in IDs are stripped from the account.
• You're signed out on every device.
• Your community posts and partner messages are hidden from other users.
• Your push notifications stop.

After the 90-day retention period, the scheduled purge removes the remaining account records from the active database. Protected disaster-recovery backups expire separately under our backup-retention process; deletion does not instantly rewrite existing backups.

Why 90 days?

Residual records are retained temporarily to investigate fraud or abuse associated with a closed account. Your sign-in identifiers are removed immediately; account deletion cannot be undone through the app and we do not promise to restore your account.

Your subscription

Deleting your Ironbark account does not cancel a Pro subscription billed by Apple or Google. Cancel that separately:

• iOS: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Ironbark → Cancel.
• Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Ironbark → Cancel.

Take your data with you

Before deleting, open Settings → Your Data → Download my data. You can export your account information and saved content as JSON. Authentication secrets and internal security records are excluded; the export describes these exclusions.
